Note: For instructions on how to edit or delete locations via API, please refer here and here.
Best practice: Editing and deleting are only possible for locations that are on the active, not found or idle statuses. If a location is still syncing, you will not be able to make changes or delete it. You’ll need to submit a ticket to support@fidel.uk to stop the syncing first, which will then enable you to edit or delete the location. Make sure you include information on the Program ID and Location ID in your ticket to avoid any delays in resolution time.
How to edit a location
- To edit a location, select a Program from the Programs page, which will then open the Locations page that lists all the brands locations associated with the selected program.
- Find the location you wish to edit either by scrolling through the list or utilize the filters.
- Next you need to click on the 3 horizontal dots at the end of the row of the selected location and select Edit from the drop down menu (below).
- Make the required changes to the location and then click Done.
- Once you have made all the changes to the location(s), remember to click the "sync locations" button in the top right corner next to New location button if it is visible so that the updated information for the edited locations will get submitted to Visa, Mastercard and American Express for mapping.
- Each time the Sync location button is pressed, the syncing will only be applied to newly added/edited locations with an idle status. It will not impact the locations that have already been onboarded successfully (i.e. those with an Active status).
How to delete a location
- To delete a location, select a Program from the Programs page, which will then open the Locations page that lists all the brand's locations associated with the selected program.
- Find the location you wish to edit either by scrolling through the list or utilize the filters.
- Next you need to click on the 3 horizontal dots at the end of the row of the selected location and select Delete from the drop down menu (below).
- A pop up will appear asking you to confirm you wish to delete the location, click Delete.
Best practice: It is not possible to pause tracking of transactions at a given location. The only solution currently available is to delete the said location. Please note that when you wish to restart tracking, you will need to re-onboard the delete location from scratch. Refer here for the instructions on location onboarding.
